The Nigerian Army troop has arrested fleeing bandits during a stop and search operation at about 9:00 pm along Mokwa-Jebba road on the 20th of June 2021. According to the NA spokesperson, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the troops stopped a car travelling from Zuru to Ibadan for an inspection.

During the interception, a young man was spotted in military camouflage with the tag name Sgt. Aminu Sule. Upon a body search, the suspect was found to have a pair of camouflage uniform, military boots, a knife and charms. The suspects confessed to be travelling to Ogbomosho in Oyo state.
He further claimed that the uniform and boots belonged to his brother, who is a soldier. During questioning, the culprit confessed to escape from the ongoing operations in Niger state to a haven.
The COAS Major General Faruk Yahaya has assured the safety of Nigerians lives and property. He urges Nigerians to report any strange activities or suspicious movement to the nearest security agencies to help them maintain peace in the country.
