I wouldn’t like to enjoy it alone. Tomatoes are the major source of the lycopene antioxidant, vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K, linking it to numerous health benefits, such as reducing heart disease and cancer risk. It’s a fruit that is often referred to as vegetables in the kitchen that can be prepared in a seemingly endless number of dishes and can as well be consumed raw. Good for your eyes: Lycopene, lutein, and beta-carotene are powerful antioxidants that are present in tomatoes which can be used to protect the eyes against light-induced damage, the development of cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. The presence of vitamin A also helps to improve vision and protect the eyes from night blindness.

Best for skincare: The lycopene antioxidant cannot be overemphasized, coupled with vitamin C and potassium restores the skin glow. It helps to protect the skin from skin cancer, reduce the risk of sunburn, promote wound healing, and many more. Combined with eating it raw or drink its juice, you can also peel it and place it on your skin or face for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
