SaharaReporters gathered that the upcoming Nollywood movie ‘Fatal Arrogance’, was sponsored by the Nigerian Army as part of a cover-up of the December 2015 massacre of Shiites by soldiers. The Islamic Movement of Nigeria popularly called Shiites expressed their displeasure over the movie saying that the film portrays a bad image of them as terrorists.

The 12- minutes video of Pete Edochie expressed his stance on the issue and alleged threat on his life. According to Chief Pete Edochie, two days after the conclusion of the movie, he got calls from different part of the country drawing his attention to a statement made by the IMN. He was asked to check his Whatsapp and when he did, he saw that the IMN had notified the Inspector General of Police that he (Pete) and the Nigerian Government had done a production meant to ridicule and represent them. The news kept spreading to different platforms (youtube and opera mini) but this time with a different twist and untrue facts.

He concluded by saying that he did not write the film and was only acting a good script. He thanked those that made known to him the threat on his person by the IMN. He is a free-born of Nigeria and will not run away from his country because of individuals that think they want things done their way.
