Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie the well renowned Nigeria writer and feminist had just lost her father about six months ago. Chimamanda is known for her notable works that include; love of Biafra, Americanah, Half of a yellow sun, purple hibiscus. Her works which are centred on the Biafran war in Nigeria have won her so many notable awards.
After studying medicine for a short time in Nsukka, being born and raised in Nigeria, in 1997 she left for the United States, where she studied communication and political science at Eastern Connecticut State University. Chimamanda was one of 15 women selected to appear on the cover of the September 2019 issue of British Vogue.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Departed From Us
It’s so painful losing one’s parents, especially within months of each other. May God comfort the family and grant the deceased eternal rest. Mrs Adichie Grace Adichie was confirmed dead this morning, 2nd of March 2021. As she passed away yesterday, 1st of March 2021 in her home town Awka in Anambra State Nigeria.
She is aged Seventy-eight years and is survived by six children. The whole community of Chimamanda’s fans are sending their condolences to the family with tremendous prayers and consolation wishes to the Adichie’s. We truly hope that they handle the lost well. Rest on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s mother of all.
