Dignitaries of the Nigerian Navy held a cocktail and ceremonial sunset party on the Nigerian Navy New Ship KADA in Angola. The party was held on 17 May 2022 as part of activities lined up during the port call of the ship. During the event, the special guest of honour and Nigeria’s ambassador to Angola amb (prof) Monique Ekpong noted the existing warm and cordial relationship between Nigeria and Angola. She added that, that the collaborations between both countries have witnessed tremendous political, economic and defence gains.

She further expressed the need for both countries to work together to combat political and security challenges in the gulf of guinea. The ceremony was attended by the Angolan minister of external relations, ambassador téte antónio, the executive secretary of the gulf of Guinea commission Amb Adenine Ukonga, ambassadors, senior officers from the Angolan military, representatives of the naval headquarters Nigerian navy and others.
