A sunny day in the Nigerian Army as COAS assures officers with lost limbs will receive prosthetic and artificial parts as welfare to complement brave services. Thursday 8th of July 2021, the Chief of Army Staff General Yahaya Faruk and other principal officers of the NA pays a visit to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna to giving welfare wonder officers and pledge the NA support throughout their recovery stage. He expressed his appreciation to the officers and men for their sacrifice to the nation, adding that the NA is doing everything possible despite the challenges of the Covid – 19 pandemics to provide them with adequate treatment to hasten their recovery.

The COAS General Yayaha Faruk added that the Nigerian Army is building a state of the art facility in the hospital for the production of prosthetics for personnel who lost their lower limbs in service to the nation. He disclosed that the ongoing effort is in partnership with some foreign experts from Germany. According to him, the partnership will hasten the production of artificial body parts and save huge costs on international medical trips for officers and men.
At the end of the visit, the COAS complimented the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Colonel Steven Onuchukwu, on the achievements and growth of the hospital.
