The NA graduates 6000 fresh recruits after completing their four months of Basic Military Training at Depot Nigerian Army. According to the news shared via the NA Facebook Official page, the Chief of Army Staff rejoiced with 6000 newly recruited officers and charged them to remain committed to Nigeria.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya, has urged troops not to rest on their oars towards surmounting the myriad security challenges bedevilling the country. The COAS made the statement during the Passing out Parade of 82 Regular Recruit Intake, after the completion of their Four months of Basic Military Training at Depot Nigerian Army.

Lieutenant General Yahaya said: “It is commendable to say that the passing out troops will enhance the combat efficiency of the Nigerian. The COAS affirmed that having acquired the basic military training required to be professionals in the Nigerian Army, the young soldiers were enjoined to utilise the training in defence of Nigeria.

He congratulated the 6000 passing out recruits while welcoming them to the institution that imbibed the core values of loyalty, selfless service, courage, discipline, integrity and respect for others.
He further stated that “you are always expected to do your utmost best to sustain these values and maintain high operational standards to enhance your ability and the collective mission of the Nigerian Army.”

The COAS commended the Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Major General Aminu Chinade and his team of instructors for the excellent job of training quality soldiers for the manpower need of the Nigerian Army and the defence of the territorial integrity of Nigeria. The event’s high point was the presentation of awards to passing out recruits who distinguished themselves during the training, group photograph and commissioning of projects.
